Grief support
Finding your footing after the death of someone you love can feel overwhelming, especially when you aren't sure where to turn for help. If you are living with sadness, because someone you love has died, please know that you don't have to be alone.

Peer support
Palhelp's Walking Through Grief group is a local community group, offering a gentle, welcoming space where you can connect with others who truly understand the lived experience of bereavement.
In this circle of support, there is no pressure to "fix" your sorrow or rush your healing; people who have also been living with loss too, will accept you as you are: your feelings are valid.
Making new connections may at first seem hard. Reaching out to Walking Through Grief, or to a local community centre, or a faith-based organisation can be a comforting first step to find a community that will stand by you, and you will know that you are not alone.
Navigating life after loss
Life after the loss of a loved-one can feel like walking in a strange place, where the weight of grief changes from day to day. Sorrow is a deeply personal journey: grief support through community or trusted loved-ones can help you to feel connected when you are sad.
Connecting with others in a community group, with people who share the lived experience of loss, can be have a big impact, helping you to cope. There is great comfort in standing with others who truly understand the harsh path of loss, who know that grief isn’t a problem to solve,
it's a new reality to live with.
Loss and loneliness come together - when you share the loss,
loneliness begins to lift.
With people who have walked a similar path, you can let your feelings out. No-one will judge you or think you need to "move on." The powerful, quiet acceptance of others reminds you that while your grief is uniquely yours, you are not alone as you try to keep living with loss.
